This page shows some of the cutting boards and frames that Gordy has created. For the frames, Gordy tries to match the wood and frame style to the picture. For example, he used spalted maple on a pair of vintage-looking posters of Devil's Tower to bring out the rustic, striated look of the images. All of the matting was created by David Farmer of Verona, Wisconsin. Photos by Gordy and Sue are available for sale, if desired. The cutting boards are made from a variety of woods. How to Care for Your Cutting Board
All of Gordon Miller Woodworks cutting boards are sanded and treated with food-grade mineral oil. The oil will evaporate over time whether the board is used or not. To brighten your cutting board, rub it with any food-grade oil (mineral is best but olive oil is commonly used). Cutting boards can be washed in hot, soapy water and air or towel dried. Cutting boards are not microwave, oven or dishwasher safe. Please feel free to contact Gordy with any care questions or requests.
